The Samantha Stone Spirit Award
Each year, in memory of CHS graduate and scholarship recipient Samantha Stone, The Caprock Alumni Scholarship Foundation recognizes an outstanding individual for their time, talent, and/or financial contributions to The Foundation and to the community at large.
Samantha
Samantha Stone, daughter of Adam & Joni Stone and sister to Andrue Stone, graduated from Caprock High School in 2015. Having received a scholarship from The Caprock Alumni Scholarship Foundation, Samantha was the first ever recipient to return as a volunteer for The Foundation's annual golf tournament. She also volunteered at her church and the Wesley Community Center, and went on to study Graphic Art Design at Garden City Community College.
During her sophomore year of college in December 2016, Samantha passed away as a result of a car accident. To honor her memory, The Caprock Alumni Scholarship Foundation created the Samantha Stone Spirit Award to recognize those, like Samantha, that contribute to the community through their time, talent, or financial donations. The award is given at each year's golf tournament.
